School Newsletters
It is a popular trend for school districts to send out a newsletter to their area. While working for The Herald, four local schools relied on me to design their newsletter.
To keep the projects cost effect for the schools, they are all in a general design that has been tweaked with their branding. School colors and logos/mascots are used throughout. All of the articles and a majority of the photos come from the schools with the exception of a select few filler images such as school bus images and a few graphics.
I enjoy working on these pieces because they offer a challenging reward. I like to equate them to a game of Tetris. Every school I work with either sends too much or too little content, my job is getting all the content to fit within the requested page constraints. And of course to make the newsletter look beautiful.
